Overview: This position will oversee the successful operation and maintenance of the primary residence with occasional oversight of other properties. The right candidate will be proactive, be attentive to detail, have exceptional calendar management skills, supervise household staff of six, manage household projects, and maintain excellent communication between family, staff and vendors. Must have the ability to work both independently as well as with a team. The applicant understands that the utmost in confidentiality and discretion is required in this position.

Location: Main residence is on the San Francisco Bay Area Peninsula, California
. Only local San Francisco Bay Area applicants will be considered

Schedule: Monday through Friday 9 am to 6 pm but flexible to work on weekends and non-standard hours, as needed, for travel, entertainment and to meet project deadlines.

. Single point of contact for principals for all estate related matters
. Manage home and property maintaining the high standards of the principals
. Maintain household calendars and updating principals regarding schedule
. Research, authorize and hire and maintain approved vendor list
. Demonstrate an understanding of complex physical house systems including HVAC, electronic security, and "smart home" systems
. Project management-ability to research and address each project with full analysis of cost, timeline and materials necessary; present in report for approval by principals
. Co-ordinate with architects, designers, outside vendors and contractors
. Supervise and Interface with other household staff at all times
. Maintaining Household Manual and inventory lists
. Work with existing staff to assess if there is additional training or coaching needed to maintain the level of service standards required
. Travel planning
. Closet organization and seasonal rotation and shoe care
. Making appointments
. Personal shopping
. Event planning
. Maintenance of cars and occasional driving
. Assist with event planning and entertaining as needed
. Excellent computer proficiency, organizational and supervisorial skills.
. Ability to travel as needed
. Optional cooking skills a plus
. Must have at least 5 years of experience as House Manager with excellent references

• Experience working in high end homes, long-term employment
• Able to commit to a long term position
• Managed multiple staff members with good track record of long-term employment of team
• Background in managing construction projects, pools, irrigation, vegetable gardens, flower gardens, water features, HVAC, AV, lighting, plumbing, other household systems, power back-up and more
• Strong command of English language; superb communication skills, both written and verbal
• Technologically savvy with excellent computer and cell phone technology skills for communication with principals.
• Organized and quick paced
• Tremendous attention to detail
• Self –starter/Self-motivated but with ability to take direction from principal
• Kind, high level of integrity
• High level of discretion
• Comfortable and confident working in high stress, fast-paced environments where the utmost discretion and confidentiality are required
• Taking initiative and having a professional mindset is key to success in this position
• College degree is a plus
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
• Non-smoker
• Able to work legally in the United States
• Background check will be required
