Job Description


We are seeking a Human Resources (HR) Director to head the HR departments at a system of two schools and one learning center in Kuwait City.

Our client is looking for a self-starter with a can-do attitude who will rise to the challenge of leading a large HR department in a growing organization. The ideal candidate will be extremely organized, highly communicative, articulate, emotionally intelligent, accountable and humble. The HR Director must have excellent time management and prioritization skills.

The HR department is responsible for all HR functions at one Pre-K-12 school, a newly opened university, and a learning center in Kuwait City. The HR Director is an individual who will bridge all three of these organizations and their dedicated HR teams, to oversee routine HR processes and ensure consistency across all organizations. The university is in its first year of operations, and there is ample opportunity to assist in development of university policies and procedures.

Duties will include, but not be limited to:
• Hiring
• Talent development
• Succession planning
• Compensation
• Employee relations
• Benefits and leave administration
• Policy, planning and process improvement
• HR reporting, data management and systems
• Supervision of HR team
• Communication with other department heads and upper management
• Development and implementation of big picture HR strategy

To be considered for the position, candidates must have a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree and ten (10) years or greater of professional human resources experience. Native English speaking and writing skills are required. Fluency in Arabic is not required, but may be useful.
