Job Description


Lovely Tribeca family seeks a proactive, creative and energetic Nanny to provide care for their three children (toddler through school-age). This position is primarily Monday – Friday from 3 pm to 8 pm, inclusive of working either a half-day or full-day on Saturdays as needed. Additionally, during the summer months as the family travels to California frequently this position will change to working 1 week on and 1 week off. The ideal candidate should be comfortable working with a team of Housekeepers and Nannies in order to provide excellent care for the children. Traveling with the family is required and private accommodations will be provided.

Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• Assisting in the daily care, nurturing, and supervision of three children
• Coordinating children’s daily activities; providing/supervising transportation both to and from lessons, appointments, and extracurricular activities, etc.
• Must strive to create a fun and supportive environment for the home, as well as nurturing and trusting relationship with the children
• Provide a safe and clean environment for children; light housekeeping for children only, including tidying up, laundry, cleaning up after meals, etc.
• Assisting with packing and unpacking for trips and vacations
• Preparation of light and healthy family-style meals
• Travel with the family domestically and internationally as needed
• Additional Nanny responsibilities and duties as needed and requested by the principals

Job Requirements


• Strong command of English language; outstanding communication skills both writing and verbal
• Excellent references required from both current and previous employers
• Minimum 5 - 7+ years related experience working in a private home
• 4-year degree for an accredited College or University REQUIRED
• Knowledge of general First Aid and CRP Certification
• Ability to work collaboratively on a team as well as individually a self-starter
• Polished, poised and professional in both mindset and manor; use of utmost discretion at all times
• Flexibility in schedule with the willingness to work long hours and overtime as needed
• Light cooking skills; ability to prepare healthy family-style meals, the family eats vegetarian meals
• Strong swimmer; must be comfortable being in the water
• Valid Driver’s License is REQUIRED; a confident driver with a clean driving record
• Valid Passport; willing and able to travel with the family domestically and internationally
• Legally able to work within the United States
