Job description: 
 
A Private Residence in Upper East Side, NY seeks an experienced and detail-oriented Executive Housekeeper to oversee the successful operation and maintenance of their residence. Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
 
  • Complete oversight of the household residence; ensuring consistency of standards, and having the home guest-ready at all times
  • Willing to b
  • Calendar management; travel itineraries, guest events, catering requests, scheduling personal appointments, other household events
  • Vendor management; procuring all supplies by coordinating with outside vendors and contractors 
  • Planning and executing special dinners and events; experience with floral arrangements and high-end event planning a plus  
  • Managing a collection of fine art and antiques; handling storage, maintenance, and cleaning
  • Creating household manuals; overseeing hiring, training and supervision of any additional household staff, including a team housekeepers, chefs, drivers, and nannies 
  • Acting as point of contact and gatekeeper for principals
  • Cooking family-style healthy meals for the family as needed
  • Handling any special requests, related duties or errands 
 
This is a full-time position. Salary is generous but DOE. 
 
Requirements:
 
  • A minimum of five years of relevant work experience managing private residences
  • Outstanding references from both current and previous employers
  • Adept in managing and supervising household staff 
  • Ability to work independently as well as with a team, “hands on” as necessary
  • Cooking family-style healthy meals for the principals
  • Demonstrate an understanding of complex physical house systems including “smart home” systems 
  • Understands that the utmost in confidentiality and discretion is required
  • Strong analytic, communication and management skills
  • A superb command of the English language, both written and oral, is required
  • Flexible scheduling with availability to work overtime and weekends as needed
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Valid United States work authorization
