Job Title: Executive Housekeeper (Upper East Side)
 
Job Description
 
Private family seeks an experienced Executive Housekeeper to oversee the successful operation and maintenance of their household. The ideal candidate will have experience working in fine homes. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
 
  • All general housekeeping and deep cleaning of residence
  • Care of fine art, antiques, and furniture
  • Polishing fine surfaces; includes marble, silver, brass, crystal, etc. 
  • All laundry duties; includes ironing, care of delicate fabrics, steaming, packing/unpacking for travel, dry cleaning, and seasonal wardrobe maintenance
  • General household organization (closets, pantries, cabinets, etc.)
  • Conducting household inventories and procuring supplies
  • Liaising with vendors and contractors including scheduling household maintenance services 
  • Working as a team with additional domestic staff
  • Ensuring adherence to policies and protocols; maintaining neat appearance of home and all staff members
  • Running errands and managing special requests 
 
This is a full-time, live-out position. Salary is generous but DOE.
 
Requirements
 
  • Minimum 5 years related work experience in a private residence
  • Outstanding references from current and previous employers
  • Excellent command of the English language, both written and verbal; additional language skills a plus
  • Previous experience working as a team of staff 
  • Exceptional organizational and time-management skills 
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Utmost sense of discretion
  • Professional, polished, and poised at all times
  • Flexible schedule with ability to work nights, weekends, and overtime if needed
  • Valid United States work authorization
