Job Title: Domestic Couple, Live-In (Water Mill, NY
private residence in the Water Mill, NY seeks an experienced live-in Domestic Couple to assist with the care and maintenance of their household. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • Provide hands-on housekeeping including all aspects of general and deep cleaning, laundry and ironing, cleaning of kitchen, bath, and living areas, organization of closets, pantries, etc.
  • Care for art, antiques, and fine furniture, etc.
  • Maintain home for guest readiness at all times
  • Liaising with and overseeing vendors and contractors
  • Work with domestic staff
  • Plan fresh and healthy seasonal menus, prepare and serve daily meals 
  • Drive family to and from general destinations, appointments, and engagements
  • Care for fine vehicles including service scheduling and insurance upkeep
  • General handyman services and facilities/home maintenance tasks including outdoor and indoor properties
  • Maintain household inventories, procure supplies and grocery shop as needed
  • Respond to special requests, errands, and related duties as needed
  • Travel with the family we requested
This is a Full-Time, Live-In position. Flexibility to work overtime as needed is required. Salary is generous but DOE. This position also includes a full benefits package as well as the potential to earn a discretionary annual bonus.
  • At least 3 years related experience each working in a private estate
  • Excellent references from both current and previous employers
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Experience supervising household staff and working with outside vendors and contractors
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Experience caring for fine art and antiques, fine garments and home linens, silver and brass
  • Strong culinary skills; ability to prepare meals and serve events and dinners
  • Must understand complex physical house systems (lighting, heating and cooling, security) including Smart Home systems
  • Adept in of all areas of property maintenance
  • Good with pets
  • Flexible schedule, available to work overtime and weekends as needed
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Flexibility to travel with the family as needed 
  • Valid United States work authorization
