Job Description

Private family in Las Vegas has an immediate need for an Executive Housekeeper (full-time, live-out) with experience working in fine homes. Hours are typically Monday to Friday but candidate must be flexible to work some evenings and weekends when the family is in residence. Some overtime and weekends are required as needed. Candidate should be available for occasional travel to other residences within Nevada and out of state.

The Executive Housekeeper is responsible for the overall appearance and cleanliness of the home and should have specialized knowledge in housekeeping, cleaning products, caring for fine furnishings, valuables, luxury items, fine clothing, linens, and artwork. Must have excellent communication skills, an eye for detail and a professional demeanor and appearance at all times.

• All general housekeeping and deep cleaning of the residence
• Upkeep outside areas such as patios, porches, walkways, and outside closets
• Laundering of clothing and other household items
• Changing of sheets and maintaining/rotation of household linens
• Ironing/Steaming of clothing
• Wardrobe organization and fine fabric care (cashmere, silk, linen, leather, etc.)
• Sewing as needed
• Polishing furniture, vacuuming, washing floors, cleaning kitchen, cleaning bathrooms, polishing silver
• Manage household supplies and keep up an inventory for household items and groceries
• Rotate grocery items and household supplies in the refrigerator, pantry, and cupboards to monitor out of date or expired items
• Grocery shopping and occasional errands
• Light kitchen duties and food preparation
• Dog care (feed, water, and maintain outside dog area)
• Assist with any entertainment for special events
• Coordinate and oversee vendors coming into the home as needed
• Check-in and mail packages

Job Requirements

• Prior experience working in private, high-end home and/or upscale hotel
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Clear and consistent communication skills
• Team player who can work well with others
• Ability to remain calm under pressure
• Proficient English (speak, read, write)
• Polite and professional phone etiquette
• Flexibility in scheduling with willingness to work extended hours upon request
• Reliable and punctual
• Respectful of privacy and professional boundaries
• Understands the importance of integrity and discretion
• Attention to detail and ability to multi-task.
• Self-starter who is also at ease with taking direction
• Motivated and positive attitude
• Ability to work in home environment with limited supervision
• Comfortable with technology (iPads, Crestron, Smart Home systems, printers, etc.)

Will consider Housekeepers with extensive experience in fine homes only. References will be checked and the ability to pass a background check is required.
