A family residing in Malibu, California, USA wish to employ an experienced and a trustworthy Domestic Couple to look after their modern, 40,000 sq ft home.
The principals travel often and require the residence to be maintained, prepared for arrivals and services during in residency stays. During this time they would require from the Domestic Couple availability and flexibility in terms of work hours. Everything has to be organized in the property according to high standards. This is a live-in position. Separate accommodation for the couple is provided within the property.
The couple would comprise of a Facilities & Ground Manager complimented by a Head Housekeeper & Laundress. These two members will be required to not only manage, but rather be a hands on part of the properties service team. Knowledge of fine art, high tech home solutions & fine furniture is essential.
Duties and responsibilities _ The roles involve, but are not exclusive to:
Working with the three groundsman on maintaining the yard and gardens and pool
Managing all technical maintenance of the house (heating, central air conditioning, electrical systems, Crestron etc)
Controlling the expenses and monitoring the work of contractors
Keeping maintenance journals
Managing of home automation and lighting
Performing simple repair of small household appliances
Minor repair works (painting, troubleshooting, carpentry)
Caring for the technical equipment: computer equipment, phones, I Phone’s, Ipas’s, Laptops, TV, Stereo, printers)
Overseeing and maintaining the property services (plumbing, electricity, air conditioning, heating systems)
Providing swimming pool maintenance & routine
Performing chauffeur duties when family is in residence.
Cleaning the property to high standards (living room, gym area, bathrooms, bedrooms
Dusting and polishing furniture
Assisting with cleaning areas outside of the property (patios, porches, decks, walks)
Laundry and ironing, overseeing dry cleaning
Making beds and changing bed linen regularly
Caring for haute couture, fine garments, expensive clothes, delicate items and accessories
Setting up the table and serving at the table
Providing support in organizing house events
Ordering provisions and supplies
Running personal errands of the Principals
Helping with packing suitcases
This is a live-in position.

Experienced in the care and maintenance of antiques, art, sculpture, fine furnishings, wooden floors and natural stone
Room & dinging perpetrations and table service skills
Knowledge about gardening and handy man duties & responsibilities
Trustworthy and discreet (confidentiality & security in the private residence in vital at all times)
Driving licence required
Firs Aid certificate would be a plus
