Part-time Private Chef needed for an Atherton family of six. The chef who is hired will be responsible for preparing lunch and dinner three days per week, one breakfast per week. The likely work schedule will be Sunday/Monday/Tuesday-TBD. Our client enjoys high-quality foods, cutting-edge techniques, and beautiful presentations with a healthy twist. They hope to find a creative, talented Chef who has at least 5 years’ recent experience as a Line Cook, Sous Chef, or Chef in TOP luxury restaurants. Some in-home experience required.
Frequent entertaining, no major dietary constraints.

-Creating menus for family meals; occasional dinner parties and special events
-Plated and family-style dinners, chef sets the table, serves and cleans up after service
-Strict portion control
-Grocery shopping for all food/kitchen items
-Organize and manage the kitchen’s pantry
-Kitchen sanitation is VERY important to our client, the chef is responsible for the cleaning and organizing the kitchen, cleaning the floor, appliances, exhaust fan, drawers, etc.
-Able to work a flexible schedule, to accommodate occasional changes
-Must have at least 5 years’ recent experience in Michelin-starred restaurants or TOP luxury restaurants
-Able to work legally in the United States
-Must have excellent references from past employers
-Must be able to pass an in-depth background investigation
-Valid driver’s license and good driving record-willing to use personal vehicle for work
-Should be able to gracefully accept constructive criticism
