Private New York City client seeks an experienced Housekeeper to assist with the daily cleaning, light cooking, and management of the residence. This position is Part-time and consists of Monday, Wednesday and Friday schedule, roughly 9:00am to 5:00pm with flexibility to work extended hours or overtime as needed and upon request. The ideal candidate would be adept in all Housekeeper responsibilities.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• Ability to perform museum-quality cleaning with proficiency in special surfaces (wood, glass, leather, furniture, antiques, silver, brass, etc.)
• General housekeeping and upkeep of the residence; managing and assuming laundry duties for the client
• Grocery shopping for the client and residence; ensuring proper groceries are in stock at all times
• Cooking as needed
• Packing and unpacking clothes for travel, both domestic and abroad
• Serving meals and beverages as needed and providing formal service upon request for dinner parties, formal events etc. including table set-up, floral arrangements, wine pouring and pairing and guest greeting & socialization
• Running errands and carrying out special requests as needed
• Maintaining residence for guest readiness at all times
• Procuring equipment, supplies and services as needed
• Acting as a gatekeeper and liaison to the home

Job Requirements

• Strong command of English language
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• 3 - 5+ years related experience working as an Housekeeper for a private family
• Excellent references from both current and previous employers
• Exceptional organizational skills and dedication to responsibilities; with professional mindset and the use of utmost discretion
• Outstanding communication skills both written and verbal
• Experienced in supervising household
• Exceptional organizational skills; able to work "hands on" as necessary
• Proficient in museum-quality cleaning and care; antiques, silver, fine art, special surfaces
• Flexibility in scheduling with willingness to work long hours as needed
• Legally able to work in the United States
