POSITION SUMMARY:

This estate offers a one of a kind opportunity. The principal is looking for a highly qualified couple to oversee, manage and actively monitor this unique property. The position will develop reports, handle all construction projects, maintain excellent communication between the principal, his staff and vendors, set up systems and provide the highest level of service. This property is intended to be run like a private estate and occasional boutique hotel. The principal favors discretion and confidentiality at all times.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Oversee all construction projects and renovations as lead communication person on site

• Manage and maintain timelines and scheduling for projects with vendors and subcontractors both locally and internationally

• Create reports to update principal on status of the property and projects

• Set up and maintain systems in the estate and on the property to create efficiency

• Work with principal’s staff to coordinate travel schedule

• Must be able to hire, train and manage other staff

• Creating a synergistic and successful environment

• Oversee the everyday operation of the estate

• Ensure everything is in order and clean

• Valet services such as packing and unpacking guests’ luggage, caring for their personal items and specialty garments

• Familiarize guests with the property and where they can find what they need

• Protec, maintain, and care for valuable interior items and surfaces

• Provision to maintain supplies

• Collaborate with the purser regarding meal service for the guests

• Maintaining and displaying knowledge of international etiquette and protocol

Job Requirements

TRAITS AND QUALITIES:

• Prior estate management or boutique hotel management experience in an “off the beaten path” locale

• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written

• Knowledge of AV, HVAC, computers, household systems and more

• Prior experience managing multiple staff members

• Self –starter/Self-motivated

• Imperative to be very resourceful and hands-on

• Highly organized

• Must be able to envision the “big picture” and be able to motivate the staff accordingly to provide the desired level of service

• Background and understanding in managing extensive grounds, irrigation, gardens

• Experienced in tropical climates and the wear and tear caused on the buildings from extreme sun/heat and humidity
