Personal Valet – Wardrobe Assistant Canada and United States
Seeking a professional and experienced individual for the position of Personal Valet – Wardrobe Assistant. A full time, live out position for executive style formal residence in Toronto, Canada. Travel required with principals. Applicants must have previous experience and working knowledge with wardrobes, seamstress skills, clothing management for inventories, care of fine fabrics and a passion for fashion. Applicants should be flexible with schedules and travel.
The position will be responsible for working closely with the principals on a day to day basis to provide wardrobe and personal services, to manage wardrobes for laundry, dry cleaning, care & mending, storage including shipping and receiving of garments and personal effects. Applicants should have a team spirit style and work in conjunction with existing staff to maintain high standards of service to principals.
•To provide the principal with the utmost of service for daily needs of their personal effects and wardrobe management.
•To manage wardrobes for laundry, dry cleaning, mending, steam & press, seasonal catalogue & changes for closets, inventory of wardrobes and accessories.
•To organize and manage all packing & unpacking for travel.
•Working in conjunction with existing staff to assist principals with travel, hotels, car services, and advance arrivals to residences.
•Managing deliveries for both incoming and outgoing parcels.
•Greeting of guests and visitors to ensure their visit will be comfortable.
•Coordinate personal shopping itineraries, errands and gift purchases.
•Travel required to other properties.
•Applicants must be flexible and accommodating to work with and respond to family schedules in order to maintain and manage protocols and standards of residence
•Applicants must be service oriented with excellent organization and communication skills.
•Excellent computer literacy, ability to multi-task with efficient time management skills.
•Applicants must be self-starters and a team player to work affectively with other staff and being focused with attention to follow through from start to finish on projects.
•Knowledge & experience for the care of fine fabrics, bespoke clothing and fine accessories.
•Individual must have a polished and well-groomed professional appearance with an intuitive and composed demeanor.
•Applicants must be comfortable working in a formal style of residence and service.
•Travel required a valid passport with no travel restrictions is a must.
•Must exercise complete discretion and maintain confidentiality at all times.
